Movers in Arnprior, Ontario
Happy's Moving & Storage serves Arnprior with local and long-distance moving — from riverside century homes to brand-new subdivisions — at rates that beat the Ottawa franchises coming up the highway.
Movers for the fastest-growing corner of the Valley
Arnprior sits where the Madawaska meets the Ottawa River — and where Ottawa’s housing market meets Valley prices. That combination has made it one of the busiest moving markets in Renfrew County. New subdivisions are filling in on the edges of town while the tree-lined streets near Gillies Grove keep their solid century homes, so a moving crew here needs two skill sets in the same day: floor protection and railing pads for a never-lived-in build in the morning, then a careful pivot down a 1910 staircase after lunch. That’s us.
The commuter-move specialists
A huge share of our Arnprior work is the city-to-Valley move: families leaving Kanata or Ottawa for more house, a real yard and a 35-minute drive back to the office. We make that jump painless — flat quote, morning load in the city, afternoon delivery in Arnprior, and a crew that knows both ends of the 417. We also run the reverse: young adults launching to Ottawa apartments, and seniors moving closer to family in the city.
In town, we move households between neighbourhoods, get downsizers settled near the Nick Smith Centre end of town, and handle small jobs — a den that became a nursery, an apartment over a John Street shop — that the big outfits won’t roll a truck for.

Arnprior moving FAQs
Do you move people from Ottawa or Kanata to Arnprior?
Constantly — it's one of the busiest routes in our book. Arnprior is about 55 km from downtown Ottawa and even closer to Kanata, and we quote those moves flat. Most load in the morning and finish by mid-afternoon.
Can you move me into a new-build subdivision in Arnprior?
Yes — new-build moves are their own skill: fresh floors to protect, unfinished driveways, and closings that sometimes slip. We pad the railings, run floor protection, and if your closing date moves, we work with you on rescheduling instead of hitting you with a penalty first.
What if my closing dates in Arnprior don’t line up?
Very common with the pace of building here. We bridge the gap with storage — load once on move-out day, hold everything safely, and deliver the day you get keys.
