What areas does Happy’s Moving & Storage cover?
All of Ontario — including Ottawa, Toronto, Kingston, Peterborough, Sudbury and North Bay — plus out-of-province moves into Quebec and Montreal. We are based in Renfrew in the Ottawa Valley, which is where our local moves are concentrated.
Do you handle long-distance moves yourselves or subcontract them?
We handle them ourselves. Our own crew loads your home, drives it and unloads it — your belongings are never consolidated onto a shared trailer with other people’s, which is what turns a delivery date into a multi-day window.
Are long-distance moves priced hourly or flat?
Flat, agreed in writing before moving day. On a long haul, hourly pricing hands you all the risk of traffic and weather. A flat price puts that risk on us.
Do you charge extra for crossing into Quebec?
No. There is no interprovincial surcharge in our quotes. For household goods there is no customs process or special permit — Ottawa to Montreal is simply a two-hour drive.
Can you store my things if my closing dates don’t line up?
Yes — it is one of the most useful things we offer on a long-distance move. We load once, store securely for as long as the gap runs, and deliver on the day you take possession.
