Why being based in the Valley changes the quote
Search for movers in almost any Valley town and most of the results are Ottawa companies with a page per town. There is nothing wrong with that until you read the quote: a crew leaving a depot in the city is on the clock from the moment the truck pulls out, and on a Pembroke job that is close to three hours of driving before and after the work, all of it billable. It is the single biggest reason two quotes for the same move come back hundreds of dollars apart.
We start the day in Renfrew, which is about as central as the Valley gets — twenty-five minutes to Arnprior, an hour to Pembroke, and not much more to Deep River or Barry’s Bay. The driving does not disappear, but it is a fraction of what it costs from town, and we quote it honestly up front instead of letting it accumulate on an hourly meter.

What counts as the Ottawa Valley for a quote?
For us it runs from Ottawa and Arnprior in the south up through Renfrew, Cobden and Pembroke to Petawawa and Deep River, west into Calabogie, Eganville and Barry's Bay, and across the river into Quebec. If you are within about two hours of Renfrew, you are in our ordinary working area and there is no premium for the postcode.
Do you charge more because I am not in Renfrew?
Travel is part of the quote, but it is honest travel from Renfrew — not an hour and a half billed from an Ottawa depot before anyone touches a box. Being based in the middle of the Valley is precisely why our quotes for Pembroke, Arnprior and Petawawa tend to land lower than a city company's.
Do you do moving and storage together across the Valley?

Two to four weeks is comfortable. End of month, and anything between May and September, fills earliest — the Valley moves on the same calendar as everywhere else. Short notice is always worth a call: being local means we can sometimes slot a job in that a city company cannot reach.
