Toronto to Ottawa Movers

Moving from Toronto to Ottawa is a route we run constantly — and one where being based at the Ottawa end works in your favour. We come to you in Toronto, load, drive the roughly 450 km, and unload into your new place in Ottawa or the Valley, all for one flat price agreed before the day.

Trading a condo for a house — and suddenly having room

This direction has a distinct shape. People leave Toronto for space: a house with a yard in Barrhaven or Kanata, or a bigger property again out in the Valley where the same money buys land. Remote work made it possible for a lot of families who'd otherwise have stayed.

It usually means going from a compact, elevator-served apartment to a multi-storey house with a basement and a garage. Unloading takes longer than loading did, and we staff the day accordingly instead of leaving you helping the crew at 7pm.

We know the Ottawa end better than anyone driving in

Because Ottawa and the Valley are home, we're not consulting a map at the far end. We know which Centretown streets need permit parking, how the Kanata and Barrhaven subdivisions are laid out, and how long the Queensway really takes at four in the afternoon.

If you're going past Ottawa into the Valley — Renfrew, Arnprior, Pembroke, Petawawa — that's our own backyard, and it's priced as a normal delivery rather than a remote-area surcharge.

When the dates don’t line up

Selling in Toronto and buying in Ottawa rarely produces two dates that meet neatly. The gap is where a lot of long-distance moves turn expensive: a second crew, a second load, a hotel with your life in boxes.

We load once, hold everything in secure storage for as long as the gap runs, and deliver the day you take possession. One load, one crew, one price.

Moving to Ottawa: A Practical Guide

Ottawa is one of Canada's easiest big cities to move to — housing costs less than Toronto or Vancouver, the commute is short by big-city standards, and the city is genuinely bilingual and family-oriented. The two things that catch newcomers out are how different the suburbs feel from the core, and how much winter should shape your moving date.

Toronto to Ottawa moving FAQs

Do you pick up in Toronto even though you’re based near Ottawa?

Yes. We drive to you, load, and bring it back — the return direction is a route we run regularly, which is exactly why we can quote it competitively rather than charging you for an empty trip out.

Can you deliver past Ottawa into the Ottawa Valley?

Absolutely — Renfrew, Arnprior, Pembroke, Petawawa, Deep River, Eganville and the communities between are home for us. There is no remote-area surcharge for delivering into the Valley.

What if my Ottawa closing is weeks after my Toronto move-out?

That is what our storage is for. We load once in Toronto, store your things securely for as long as you need, and deliver on your Ottawa possession day — much cheaper than moving twice.
