A photo says more than “it’s a three-bedroom”
Most moving quotes start with a guess. Someone describes their home down the phone, the mover pictures something slightly different, and the gap between those two pictures is exactly where surprise charges come from on moving day.
Photos close that gap. We can see the sectional that will not go round the stairwell, the garage nobody mentioned, and the fifteen boxes already packed in the spare room — before anyone quotes a number.

Questions about photo quotes
Is this instead of talking to someone?
Only if you want it to be. Plenty of people would rather send photos at eleven at night than wait for a callback, and this is for them. If you would rather just talk it through, call or text 613-570-0175 — same team, same prices, and no one will push you towards the app. There is also the ordinary quote form if you simply want to type a few details and hear back.
Is the estimate a firm price?
It is a genuine, properly-built estimate rather than a guess at a range — but it is still an estimate. Photos cannot show us a third-floor walk-up, a driveway a truck cannot get up, or a piano that has to come down a spiral staircase. We review every inventory ourselves before the number reaches you, and we will ask about anything that changes the job. The written quote we send is the one that holds.
How many photos do I need to take?
Up to ten, and fewer is fine. Aim for one wide shot per room you are moving — stand in the doorway and capture the whole room rather than individual pieces. Garages, basements and storage rooms are the ones people forget, and they are usually where the surprises live.
What happens to my photos?
They are uploaded to MoversAssist, the tool we use to build the inventory, and they are used to quote your move — nothing else. They are not published anywhere and they are not sold on. If you would rather not photograph your home at all, that is completely reasonable: call, text, or send the form instead.
Does it cost anything?
No. Quotes are free here however you ask for one — by phone, by form, or by photo — and there is no obligation attached to any of them.
Do you still come and look at the house?
For most house and apartment moves we do not need to. For larger homes, awkward access, or a job with a lot of unknowns, an in-person look is free and still worth it — it is what turns an estimate into a flat quote that holds on the day. Photos usually get us most of the way there first.
